Tiny seeds are held in my hand – I take good care not to let them fall away. I keep my eye on them all the time, In case they are lost – for beautifully small, are they. I think about where to plant these precious capsules, To consider a place of perfect greeting – For the soil must welcome this treasure, For much will come from their growth. A protected bed has been chosen – Where the water can gently bathe them And the warmth of the sun, can bless them. Light will ignite their life And small green shoots will emerge. How infinitely precious you are, to a God Who calls you by name! Who holds you in the palm of His hand, And lovingly plants you on earth So that you can freely grow From the huge potential of a tiny seed To embrace life, learn to love, and one day, To live in God’s care, under the light of His son.
