Swept Away into the Arms of God Swept away by the world, but into the arms of God Swept away by the wind and into the power of Love For the Spirit blows and He frees He inspires and He transforms – Just call on Him – ‘Jesus!’ And we hope, oh we hope – only in Him Change is coming now, for a glorious sight we see – God of power and God of might Standing tall in our midst. Oh, thank You, Lord, for You gather us close And You lay Your healing hands upon our hearts. Jesus – so wonderful - calling us by name, How blessed are we, for we belong to Him! Oh, ancient doors, open wide and let the Lord - The Ancient of Days - enter in! He casts aside darkness and pain So, give your heart to Him. ‘Our Majesty – we welcome You in!’ He passes through, changing all A world that must to Jesus, yield Unchanging God, our God of Love - Transforming us, for He’s the One Who heals Fear, disappearing now as forgiveness comes To cleanse and heal, to renew and bless Giving all into the arms of Love, We’re on our knees to find we’re free. The pain must go, for Jesus stands Heart to heart, to love and mend Holy Spirit, Breathe Your peace over us, today. Come! in this place, to heal. Sweep us along on the tide of life In a passing world, to a sanctuary, pure Eternal God, may we remain in You? Keep us safe, and remain in us, we pray. Amen.
