Someone Here is Bleeding – Jan. 2019

Someone Here is Bleeding

Someone here is bleeding, their blood is flowing out to You
There’s a desert in their heart, crying right now for You

Will You come and feed the hungry and water the thirsting souls
Lost in a dry and lonely place, where the void is black with pain?
Such hurting wounds are pleading -
Can You hear their drowning tears?
Come! Refresh us now, dear Jesus…we pray.

The window’s misted over and so our sight grows dim
And heavy rain still falls, though sunshine’s breaking through.
Come erase their pain-filled stains –
From You, oh God, Your love, we’re here to claim

We wonder if You’re listening, crowded out by a fallen world?
But Your promise is for all, Lord, for every name, You’ve called!

Someone has a broken cord – a tear in a disciple’s heart
A sword has pierced their spirit, so they weep and tears run deep

Come, Lord, loose the grip of evil’s constant lies
Free the broken living cords that Satan’s work has tied!

Heal us, Lord, and make us whole -
Remould, renew and bless.
Love us into life, Lord
So in Your loving arms, we come and find our rest.
Amen.
