ONE LIGHT

In everlasting light, there is but one light –
His name is Jesus.
In every thundering cloud, there is but one power –
His name is Jesus.
In every burning fire, there is but one fiery flame –
His name is Jesus.

He is the only true strength, of all that exists.
And He has always been.
You will find Him in the gentle breeze, the bubbling brook,
the afterglow of a sunset, red,
in the mountain top, the unblemished snow,
the humble heart, and the eyes of love.

What king so high can meet us, as we travel, on the lowly, stony road?
What Love so great, can find the broken heart, with tenderness, so sweet?
What Life Eternal, can offer us forgiveness, and release us into His perfect peace?
What Son of Man, holds out His hand, in raging waters, deep,
to draw us in, and pull us clear –
with warmth to wipe away our scars and tears?
He gives us the freedom to breathe…and to rest in Him.

Jesus: the Only Light – cling to Him.
