The pain shoots through my spine like a knife.
I can hardly walk – but I do…
my heart though is troubled, as my nerves sting and burn.
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
Make haste to help me!
You carried my cross.
You were pierced for me.
Your heart broke for me.
You broke Your heart for us all.
Open the eyes of the world,
for people are blind.
They are falling, crashing, stumbling in fog.
And are lost in a darkness of their own making.
Help them, Jesus!
You wept for us.
You became Man for us.
You walked with us…
save us, Your children!
Take my cross – I give it all to You…
every painful step, every sleepless night
end every tear that falls.
They are Yours – King of my heart and Lord of my life.
Be their King, too.
The world is out of control –
so immersed in self, it spins madly, sadly…
for power, wealth, pride, cruelty, death –
they have won dominion…for now.
Our very souls have shattered into fragments
of fear, rage, hatred, selfishness.
Venomous snakes seek their prey,
and they throw away life…we are that life!
We steal and kill, plot and scheme -
but know not Life: God, who observes and weeps
at man’s inhumanity to man. So, too, we fall.
Heal us! Save us! Pity us, Dear Creator…
For You are Mercy and You are Life.
Time is short.
Oblivious, the trees glisten in the summer sun,
water runs bubbling over beautiful rocks,
animals chew grass and are content.
Nature evolves and offers abundant life, with joy.
We are destroyers, and the Destroyer is here -
desperate to obliterate what is wonderful and good.
Open your eyes, open your ears!
Seek the Light of Truth,
before there is no time to turn back.
Repent for your sins against God,
people, nature, and self – say sorry,
from a pleading, weeping heart.
God is Love, Love is God.
He reads your very soul,
And knows well your heart.
No lies. No cheating. No excuses -
just truth, plain speaking, simple honesty.
Truth. Truth. Truth.
Freedom is the healing oil of gladness and peace.
Your chains will fall, and your heart will once again beat.
Exult in forgiveness, and being forgiven - and see truth… and live.
It is not too late.
