Mountain Top Love

Two birds flew in the deep-blue sky
Above the mountain top…
Predators, seeking sustenance, caught the wind.
A Cross high on the craggy peak
Looked over the village and people below.
Nature, here, was at peace. Everything spoke of joy.
The silence was evocative – at odds with our world.
Trees, still and asleep, swayed effortlessly in the breeze.
Nature awaited spring, when all would grow and flourish.
The grass was already in need of mowing –
It longed to carpet the earth below.
Buds and early blossoms were appearing –
Fruit would come in due course.
Oh! The gift of God! Beyond price – its beauty
And abundance, so incredible!
Clouds, white and puffy, moved gently –
Almost imperceptibly in the current of warm air.
You, our God, our Creator, are indescribable –
Unfathomable, beauty and power personified.
We cannot measure Your greatness – Your love!
But we can thank You! Thank You!!! And bless You!
