Man and Boy

You walked the earth as man and boy
Drank from the streams, ate fish from the sea
You looked on us, with mercy deep
From a heart of love, poured life into us.

Yes, You were here, holy feet on rock
Touching blades of grass
Breathing sweet clean air
Sitting under palms for shade
From a burning sun
And praying for what, You knew had to be done.

Being one of us in work and play
You taught and laughed
You cleansed and healed.
Amazing God, You walked with us
On dusty roads and narrow paths
You climbed up mountains
Bathed in deep blue seas
For You came to us; you’ve rescued ME

You shared our food, became our friend
Explained how death was not the end
For You walked on water
And made dead men rise
Shone with radiant light
And set hearts on fire.
You made deaf men hear
And blind men see
You took our hearts of stone - turned them into flesh
And now we’re saved,
Though Your mercy tests
As You draw us close
And lead us to a place of rest.

REFRAIN:
We are Your children
Your holy people
You are the Risen King!
So we sing, sing, sing to our holy King
Sing praise and thanks, to our conquering King
Sing praise, sing praise to Him!
