LOVE: GOD, GOD: LOVE

We are told that God is love
That Love Divine flows from all of us
When in His care, we look to Him
He can penetrate deep and share with us
All that is good and right and true – for He is Love

Suffering makes us weak and fearful
When we look at hate and a warring world
When we count the cost of lives redeemed
We baulk and cry at life’s peculiar scheme –
For battle is just so hard to fight
Seeing how evil seems to block out the Light
And death so often, the price paid for our plight

So, God of love, let my heart know You more
For You are hope and You are peace
When struggles make no sense at all
Come Dear, Most Holy One, provide relief
Let my spirit hear Your voice, Your call
And in my beating heart Your fire, fall

This road to Heaven is oh, so hard
With enemies trying to entrap and snare
But my trust is You, is my Hope, my Source
Thank you for sending Your Son, our Guide, 
Voice Supernatural, Supreme Love and Soul Force.
