Jesus Had Nothing (When He Came to Earth) But is All in All

Jesus had nothing when He came to Earth…and yet He is All in All.
Jesus was born in an animals’ stable, laid in a manger on straw.
His parents, Mary and Joseph (earthly father) were very poor; materially, they had nothing.

The 3 Wise Men, the kings of the Orient, brought Jesus gold, frankincense and myrrh. These were prophetic symbols: to establish His authority as King of Heaven for eternity from the moment of His birth; to reflect the carrying of fragrant prayers to Heaven by the angels, and for the anointing of Jesus before and after the Crucifixion; He was, and is, rich in life itself, for He is the Son of the Father who sustains all life.

The Star shone over this point in Bethlehem (translates to House of Bread), lighting up the black night sky with strange and wonderful light – in a particular place, at a particular time in history.

And yet, our King had, and has, everything, for Dominion rests on His Royal shoulders. He exists outside of time as we know it – for He, God, is the Lord of Time itself. The magnitude of the Universe is known only to God; and to know Jesus, is to know the Father and the Holy Spirit – the Trinity, the unity of the Three in One.

Jesus, when on Earth, had love from 2 parents and also, from His Divine Father in Heaven, God Almighty.
On Earth he had no possessions – he walked and talked, healed and delivered people (from evil spirits), laughed and joked, ate and slept on hillsides, mountain tops and by the sea shore, and underneath trees and the starlit skies. Perhaps now and then, on the road travelling, He was offered a place to rest in the house of a friend. His very presence made the land Holy because it was the earth and stone on which He stood.

As a child, and young man, He carved wood like Joseph, the carpenter. He then carved our hearts and made them works of love: planning, dove-tailing, removing knots and irregularities – perfecting them for a place in His Heavenly home. Jesus knew that only the heart mattered, for it represented love and spirit – the only things of worth. Jesus said: ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father, except through Me.’ Heaven is: peace, joy, comfort, truth, love and eternal life.

If you and I seek Heaven, true Paradise, it can only be found by inviting Jesus into our hearts, hearts which have perhaps grown cold through hurt and fear and trauma, anger and jealousy, pride and hate. Find God while He is still too be found – that is something we do know right now; the future is something we can try to predict but do not know. Find Him while we can, before it’s too late.
