If you only knew, what I have seen and where I’ve been
You would know, that He – God – pulled me through
Always there, nightmare and pain
His strong hand, holding mine
Protecting and guiding on rocky paths
From danger and fear, He – God - sets me free
 
So I can breathe and I can feel
Alive to love, alive to heal
 
I’ve walked through tunnels dark
Climbed mountains, too high to scale
Floated and tossed on stormy seas
Fallen head-long, into thorny trees
I’ve run from enemy lines
Fired upon, I’ve dodged and dived
But I am free, only in Him
For His love, reigns deep in me
 
In my beating heart and deepest thought
He is on my mind -
Jesus is my hope.
Day and night, to Him I turn
Standing tall, resolute and strong
I proclaim His Name –
The Name which saves.
For He knows,  I belong to Him.
