Oh, how He suffers – our God!
As he waits for us, with unfathomable, everlasting love
With patience beyond limit.
 
For He waits, looking at the world – our world
As we try to destroy it.
Greed. Power – over people, nations and science
Leading us to self-destruct.
 
It’s not His Will – for He creates and He loves
And had he not loved it, it wouldn’t exist.
We do not know the ways of the Almighty –
But Almighty He is, and His thoughts are far beyond us.
 
But He loves us.
He has given us precious gifts of life and free will.
We can choose – life or death?
 
It is not just a matter of the body – which is perishable.
But the spirit! Oh, yes, the flesh must decay
But what of the intangible, indescribable,
Fascinating and living spirit!?
 
He promises us life – real life. Resurrection through Jesus -
If we but seek Him in spirit and truth
 
Unquenchable fire of God
Let Your Spirit stir us to seek you and to warm us
To melt our hard hearts and frozen minds
We want to know You and come through the battlefield of unbelief
To see Your glory, and to realise the only Truth...Jesus -
The Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen.
