Can I have your attention, please – for a moment or maybe two?
Though I know that it’s really quite hard –
To disconnect and reconnect
To break free and shock the brain
For you’ve really been locked in for so long now
And time’s pressing on – and you’ve so much left to do!
 
But I must tell you something, as were running out of time
So, I’d appreciate some small fragments –
For I feel you need to know the truth.
 
Can you just let go and change your focus?
Trust me, please – it’s important that you do…
 
So, here’s the thing…if you catch the drift –
A matter of life and death.
Smart water, to cleanse you through
To quench your thirst, and survive life’s test.
A choice must be made, and a better road taken
Smart choice, for sure – keen light or black night?
 
There’s a Man at the crossroads
Take a look! He’s waiting for you –
Smart key - unlock the gate; break free.
He can’t wait forever - though Time is in His hands
There’s a plan being fashioned – keep with it and you’ll see.
Don’t look back: keep on track: smart move.
 
He is life – so fix on Him; and Him alone.
For your distractions, bring inaction
And you’re losing out big time
He’s been waiting while you’re playing
So wise up and get real
This game of snakes and ladders, quite simply, can steal life.
 
 
I hear you think you’re living – having fun. And blow the cost!
But I’m telling you – no frills - just the truth:
That a precious soul could be dying – lost upon the way
For you’re stumbling and hurting
With many questions, but lost for answers
But He offers bright colours, even on a cloudy day
And His Spirit rains with healing on a dry and barren place.
 
Oh, He is life! He holds the key to true liberty
Choose Him – Jesus – and be free
Then You’ll see how much he loves you…and me.
