Enemies – who are they?
People who try to bring you down?
Reduce you to nothing?
Trample on you and crush you –
Hoping to destroy your spirit?
What chance have they against one, in whom God resides!
Who are they, indeed!
 
Pray for your enemies
Perverters of justice –
Unkind in thought and deed.
For our God reigns –
He is justice; He is truth; He is love
Before Him, can they stand!
 
Storm-tossed creature, rely on Him,
On Him alone.
He will save you and He will heal YOU
And love and love and love
 
He will silence those who whisper lies
And in darkness spread gossip and hate
Pride and envy rule their hearts
So be not afraid – call on Him!
The One who saves and who judges,
With wisdom and compassion and truth.
 
 
Ignore the taunts of scheming men
Caught in the quagmire of their lies and hurt
Of their self-destruction and black fog.
His mercy alone will set them free –
If they choose to call on His name
And His grace will with light with bleach.
 
Forgiveness belongs to those who seek God
For His love is absolutely beyond measure;
The sword of His Spirit will penetrate
The very depths of our earthly-worn being
Cut, renew, and reshape; heal and cleanse and make pure
