Death of a Soldier

MY EARS DANCE TO THE RESOUNDING SONG OF THE BLAST,
MY MIND WANDERS FROM THIS HORRENDOUS INSULT TO  MANKIND.
MY LIMBS HANG LIMPLY FROM THEIR GRIEVING BODY,
AND I LIE BATHING IN WARM WASTED BLOOD.
OH HOW WE SOLD OUR LIVES FOR A DREAM OF PEACE.
