JESUS

Name, flaming like a sword
Across the Heavens, across the world!
Nothing can obliterate its dazzling beauty.
Everyone touched by His radiance, shines for eternity.

Come, Son of God,
Come, oh Risen One,
Come, Life itself and let us glorify the Bright, Morning Star!

Name, above all names!
Flaming gold against the black,
Obliterating evil,
Creating all that was, and is, and is to come!
Jesus: The Word-Made-Flesh,
Speak life and love into our hearts!
Burn fire into frozen, damaged hearts.
Ignite once more the places dulled by pain.

Oh, Glorious King, let our hearts sing, again
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!

Power is His most beautiful name:
God saves, God saves, God saves.
Strength, Love, Peace, Joy –
Your name holds everything in Truth and Life.
Your name is Dominion, Glory, Revelation, Healing
Hope, Justice, Mystery, Light.
Your name is Treasure, Mighty, Eternal, Conqueror, King.

Jesus, burn up the hatred in our world.
Destroy its darkness and division.
Conquer its fear and injustice.
Set evil ablaze and renew your Wonders on Earth!

Save us, please, Maker of the Universe and all that exists…
Forgive us, we pray – 
For our selfishness, egocentricity, pride, violence.
And let us be Christ-centred, alive, saved and free…
In You, alone, Jesus Christ. Amen.
