Bread of Life (written before the Blessed Sacrament – Pandemic) Before You, oh Lord, I sit. You are there, in the Blessed Sacrament. Candles flicker and dance in the gentle movement of air; They speak of light – Aflame with Your holiness and peace. Music plays in the background, Imbuing the essence of our joy and prayers. Blessed Jesus, before You, I kneel. Summon my heart to Your throne… That I would see truly Your Majesty and Sovereignty – King above all kings; Love, greater than mankind’s sin; Forgiveness, deeper than mankind’s sorrow. Your Mercy is filling every hungry soul; Your Holy Spirit, hearing every whispered hurt. Son, of the Father, thank You for healing every wounded heart. Burning Fire, cleanse and purify us, that we may one day see Your Face. Amen. Juliehughespoetry(c)13jan21.poetry
