1 April 2019 BOAT CHAPEL, MAGDALA, SEA OF GALILEE – ADORATION (Inspiration) I see the palm trees swaying in the wind. I see the reeds and rushes dancing in the breeze. I see birds flying overhead and hear their evening song being carried in the closing-night air. In the distance, the hazy pinks of the Golan Hills merge with the emerging blues and greys, as light fades. And all is still. Sunlight still flickers now and again on the Sea, whilst in the Boat Chapel hearts are being moved - fluttering and pulsing…bathed in the Son’s radiance; for You, Lord, are here with us. How much You want to give us, as we surrender now to You! Oh, Gracious God, our Dear Friend, how You love us! I am looking at You, for You gaze into my spirit. I feel Your presence and know that You are calling me. Fear taunts me – how much am I willing to surrender! You know...and still, in my weakness, You call me. The sweetness of Your perfect love overwhelms me and what I absorb, blows my mind. Come! blow Your Spirit fast and clear away the debris of sin and selfishness; that I may know You more deeply. Come – breathe life into me and make me whole. The palm trees are still swaying, moving to life’s rhythm. The sound of the reeds and rushes can only be imagined. The birds can still be seen – silhouettes against a darkening sky. But in our hearts, we feel the Spirit move, as gently as the changing light, for You we adore and glorify. Julie Hughes© Magdala2019
