The devil has sown the seeds of war,

on earth to create a din and uproar.

He calls on his minions to do his damn work,

hiding in the darkness, or in the depths lurks.

He disrupts our world with the things that we crave,

knows our weakness and how we’ll behave.

He lures with lies, and deceives with money,

looks at our desires, offering temptation like honey.

We reject what is good, have a taste for what’s bad,

confused by our choices and often made sad.

We think that man can make plans,

with no regard for what can be scanned

across the sea of life,

failing to see clearly, on a distant horizon.


God is Creator, Almighty and Wise,

Evil has only to await its demise.

He cannot fight Light, he just cannot win -

for sin is something, only a fool tries to spin.

Dizzy with madness, the fool will desperately fall

forgetting God’s love, and on His Name to call!

Wake up and see Truth, and run to His arms,

become citizens of Heaven, not brothers in arms.


Hate and jealousy have no place in your soul.

Kneel and receive, mercy untold.

Ask for forgiveness from the One who can heal –

God who can put on your hearts His own seal.


Time now is short, so I urge you to turn

away from denial, and with holy fire, to burn –

all dross, all that’s false, all that opens your grave

without any promise, and no way to be saved.

Let your spirit dance with joy and real hope,

whilst you still have the faculties to examine the scope

of a world now more barren

but with a harvest for those, who deep in their being

can trust without seeing…

the God of Abraham, Moses, and John

who took up their crosses, finding gains, not losses,

treasures and gifts of truth, joy and love …

a short time of trial, and everlasting life above.
