 I tried to kill you when I lied to you
 I tried to kill you when I tormented you
 I tried to kill you when I rejected you
 I tried to kill you when I shouted words of hate at you
 I tried to kill you when I lied about you
 I tried to kill you when I denied your love
 I tried to kill you when I turned on you
 I tried to kill you when I thumped you hard
 I tried to kill you when I starved you of food
 I tried to kill you when I left you thirsting
 I tried to kill you when I stole from you
 I tried to kill you when I refused your peace
 I tried to kill you when I drove too fast
 I tried to kill you when I denied your freedom
 I tried to kill you when I abused your dignity
 I tried to kill you when I refused your wages
 I tried to kill you when I tortured you
 I tried to kill you when I refused to help you
 I tried to kill you when I broke your heart
 I tried to kill you when I slandered you
 I tried to kill you when I poisoned you
 I tried to kill you when my pride controlled my actions
 I tried to kill you when my selfishness got first place 
 I tried to kill you when I turned my back on you
  
 Every time we do wrong against another, friend or foe,
 we slowly kill their spirit of life, of hope, of happiness, 
 of peace, of dignity, of good health…
 and we all are guilty, are we not? Evil kills.
  
 Surely, before God, we must repent – be truly sorry from our hearts or minds,
 for we invited the devil in and only forgiveness and reconciliation through God, can redeem us, save us, heal us…and set the other free…to know God.
  
 We bind up ourselves in chains, and we bind too that other person…
 Be kind – release them through making good; talk to God for He always hears and His angels will carry your pleas to His Gracious, Forgiving Heart of Mercy.
