Mystery of Magdala, Israel
 
‘For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be uncovered;
when everything hidden, will be made clear.’ Matthew 10:26
 
Oh Jesus, today once again Your voice resonates across Galilee.
You, again, Lord of Time, are calling Your people home.
Stir our hearts, Jesus, and light our way.
Draw us close to You
(Whose mighty hand and outstretched arms embrace the wandering sheep).
 
We have been scattered far and wide
And our hearts are lost in self-sufficiency, greed and pride.
But Your love conquers all and walls which separate are being demolished.
 
You came to rescue the weak and the strong,
Give sight to the blind,
And set captives free;
Release us now, King of kings; Lord of lords!
The Sea on which You walked is still raging.
From every corner of the globe,
We hear the battle cry.
And the innocent weep.
Saviour, we need You now!
 
Come and calm the roaring winds;
Set hearts on fire - to cleanse, re-new and heal.
Allow the gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit
To fan into flames, our thirsting spirits.
And so, find peace in You.
 
Come to the water, you who are searching...
Climb over the mountains,
Run through the valleys,
Travel the highways and by-ways
And sail on the sea –
Come! For your Creator is waiting on the sandy shore
Where, forever, His footprints rest.
