My heart has shattered into a thousand splinters.
They cruelly pierce my fragile self.
They rip into my very being – into my trust,
my hope, my joy, my peace, my strength.
I didn’t see it coming – nobody ever does!
Maybe my fortress strong, denied an inner truth.
Feelings can lie, feelings can confuse
until truth must emerge, like dynamite exploding –
destroying, wiping falsity away, uncovering, revealing…and healing,
exposing the very self.
God, my Father, You will restore me.
You will, again, breathe life into me –
for You are Love.
You sent Your Son to us, for us.
His heart broke in Gethsemane, that Holy Night,
before He was killed, by hanging on a Cross.
On the Mount of Olives,
Jesus, You wept for us and pleaded and created, a better Way.
You gave Your life away. You gave Your life for us.
You will restore.
You will rebuild.
You will fill me with love, hope, and peace – nothing is impossible for You.
You gather up the splinters, from the wood of my Cross
and renew – for Holy Completion is Yours!
Nothing is lost, and I await my re-birth in You…
for Your carpenter hands remould in perfection, with Divine Love, my broken heart.
